The prejudice-based incident reporting now due

Action

Prejudice-based incidents are any incidents that are perceived to be motivated by prejudice or hate towards a person's protected characteristic, such as race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age. These incidents can affect anyone within the school community, including pupils, staff, parents, carers, governors, or visitors.

Prejudice-based incident reporting supports the duty of the local authority and schools to promote equality and diversity, ensuring the safety and well-being of all members of the school community. The local authority appreciates the cooperation and commitment of schools in submitting their reports by the deadline. The information enables effective planning of preventative and responsive approaches to support schools with their work in promoting a culture of respect and inclusion for all.

You can find out more about prejudice based incident reporting here, including a link to the submission form.
