INTRAN services and training for schools

FAO: Staff working in schools / education providers , 26 September 2024 11:04
Information

Having welcomed new pupils this September, we recognise the importance of engaging with everyone in a language they understand. INTRAN's interpretation and translation services can bridge the communication gap, ensuring better educational and social outcomes for your new cohort and their parents/carers. By joining INTRAN, your school gains access to professional and reliable language services that facilitate seamless communication with diverse families, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Our high-quality services can help schools strengthen their communication strategies, ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and understood.

Contact us at intran@norfolk.gov.uk to learn more about how INTRAN can support your school community.

For schools who are already using INTRAN services, you are invited to join our INTRAN training sessions designed to help you confidently overcome language barriers in school settings. These sessions will provide an overview of the wide range of interpretation and translation services available, including step-by-step guidance on the booking process, a live demonstration, and best practice tips. Whether you're new to using these services or just need a refresher, this training is for you!

The training will take place over MS Teams on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 20 November: 9:30-11am
  • Wednesday 22 January: 3:30-5pm

To secure your place, please email intrantraining@norfolk.gov.uk with your preferred date, name, job title, school, and any specific requirements.

Important Note: As these are new sessions particularly for schools, we may need to limit attendance to two members of staff per school per session to ensure fair access for all.
