Information

A Breath of Fresh Air for Our Students at primary and secondary schools, working towards creating a healthier, safer, and more sustainable environment for our students with the Safe School Run Pledge Resources Pack.

It has been designed to help tackle the challenges schools face during the daily commute and to promote a culture of responsibility and well-being. There is also an opportunity to win a bike voucher, a set of bike lights and a set of puncture repair kits.

Here's how we can make a difference together

Improved Air Quality

Book our air quality monitor which will be installed for a period of time to measure and help improve understanding of the impact traffic can have on the local environment. Using invaluable insights to create less congested roads at drop-off and pick-up points, improving the school gate environment, protecting our most vulnerable road users enhancing the air we breathe.

Responsible Parking

Address the challenge of parking near schools by encouraging responsible parking habits. Our resources provide practical tips and strategies including posters and information leaflets to support the safety of all road users and to alleviate traffic congestion during peak school hours.

Active Travel

Encourage a shift towards cycling, walking, and wheeling. By choosing to leave the car at home or park further from school gates, we can significantly reduce congestion, boost physical and mental health, and contribute to cleaner air.

By pledging to the Safe School Run OR simply using some of the resources to communicate with parents/carers on the school run, you're not just improving air quality, you're investing in the future health and well-being of young people.

We understand that young people learn behaviours from those around them. So, take the first step towards cleaner air and encouraging your school community to travel with safer attitudes and to use different ways to travel like walking, wheeling and scooting when they can.

Together, we can pave the way for a greener, cleaner, and safer journey to education.
