Big Norfolk Holiday Fun - Bookings opening soon

For Staff

Next month, we will launch the summer Big Norfolk Holiday Fun programme.

As always, your support is invaluable. More than 70 schools hosted or ran events over the last year, and since the beginning of the scheme we have engaged over 13,000 children across Norfolk.

Over 60% of children that attend continue with physical activity and almost 70% have an improved attitude to food and cooking.

To make sure that the children you work with have an opportunity to participate, please help us spread the word by ordering and distributing our free promotional materials now.

Order Bookbag Flyers:

Help us promote the programme to families receiving benefits-related free school meals by ordering free flyers, posters, and a banner to raise awareness. Complete the form here by Monday 10 June to receive promotional materials for your schools.

About The Programme:

The Big Norfolk Holiday Fun (BNHF) programme provides holiday activities for children and young people aged 4 -16 in Norfolk.

Children eligible for benefits-related free school meals can claim 16 free spaces on the summer programme, whilst paid spots are available on many activities for those who are not eligible for free places.

The programme is a fantastic way to encourage children and young people to try new things, whilst keeping their brains and bodies active over the school holidays.

All children taking part will also receive a nutritious free meal as part of the offer.

BNHF Bank Staff:

Would you like to help in the summer holidays? We are looking for experienced people who work with children and young people to join us, to support our activity providers as and when needed.

We are especially keen to hear from anyone who can assist children with an EHCP who need 1:1 support.

If you are interested, please complete this form and we will be in touch.

If you have further questions about the programme, please email: bnhf@norfolk.gov.uk.
