Safer recruitment

School Staffing regulations 2009 stipulates that one person on every interview panel in school must be Safer Recruitment trained, and 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' guidelines by the Department for Education  reiterates the message that rigorous recruitment processes in schools are essential to prevent individuals with harmful intentions working with children.

Safer recruitment not only aligns with legal and regulatory requirements but also demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding children and fostering a culture of protection. Our comprehensive course equips delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute effectively on a recruitment panel, evaluate the existing safer recruitment practices in school, and identify areas for review.

Delegates will gain the latest insights into safeguarding and recruitment best practices. Our accredited course goes beyond the basics, exploring theoretical models to understand abusers / abusing, applying this knowledge within the education sector, prevention of abuse through recruitment/selection, and developing an ongoing culture of vigilance in school.

By arming your staff, governors, and trustees with the expertise to navigate the intricacies of safer recruitment while prioritising child protection, you're creating a school environment where parents and guardians can confidently entrust their children. Our  Safer Recruitment course is accredited by the Safer Recruitment Consortium;  offering sector-leading knowledge, tools, and confidence your team needs to keep children safe and promote their welfare.
