Ofsted for Governors

Course description:

These training sessions give an overview of the role of Ofsted and the expectations of governance. It provides details of the inspection process and criteria on which schools will be assessed. Governors need to know the process for Ofsted inspections and understand their involvement in ensuring the school is working under the framework.

New and existing governors are given the opportunity to ask questions to help them prepare for an Ofsted inspection.

By the end of the session governors will be able to:

• Know the context of the inspection process
• Understand how governors can prepare for inspection and provide evidence of their impact on school improvement.

Duration: 2 hours
