Following on from the AGM where you have been elected these are the first things to consider:-
Eligibility of becoming a committee member
To become part of a committee the following checks are needed. Please note that in certain circumstances a person may not be eligible to join. - Ensure that your email address is a setting email for ease of correspondence with Ofsted when different people are taking on new roles.
- EY2 & DBS for new members - www.schools.norfolk.gov.uk/early-learning-and-childcare/early-years-safeguarding/committees-dbs-checks
- Charity Commission or Companies House informed of changes at www.gov.uk/guidance/how-to-update-your-charitys-details or www.gov.uk/government/organisations/companies-house.
- If a member of an organisation, ie Early Years Alliance, please also contact the relevant membership department to inform them of change of name/contact details.
- Contact nominated IDW with change of contact details using the advice line number 01603 222300 option 3.
Handover paperwork ( appendix 1 (PDF, 109 KB)) - when joining a committee please be informed that you are still responsible until the replacement person has completed their checks and a handover.
