Revisions to 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', DfE (Guidance from 1st September 2024: For Information Only)

The revised guidance the Department for Education (DfE) published for is information only at this stage so that schools and colleges can plan for the commencement of the guidance on 1 September 2024.

Updated National Prevent Referral Form

The Home Office has published a new National Referral Form for adoption. Please delete previous versions of the referral form you have on your system and review any policies and guidance you have to ensure that they reflect the changes to terminology and referral procedures.

Updated Model Safeguarding Policy

e model Safeguarding Policy for next academic year has been revised in line with the changes to 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' (2024). The Education Safeguarding Team are in the process of updating the whole school safeguarding training including the narrated PowerPoint version. We will Tweet once the updates have been made and the package will be available on My School. The forms and templates and modules of training will be updated over the summer holidays.
