We support schools and settings to develop their understanding, knowledge and skills of SEMH through a whole-school approach, including the promotion of social and emotional learning (SEL).

What is the new SEMH Graduated Offer of Support?

The social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) Graduated Offer of fully-funded support is a comprehensive and flexible programme, providing schools and settings with the guidance and tools to meet the needs of children and young people (CYP) with SEMH needs. The offer supports schools and settings to navigate the government funded support programmes to develop whole-school approaches to prevention, identification and targeted support, enabling all children and young people to flourish.

The SEMH Graduated Offer of Support includes:

One-minute guides: Signposting to nationally available, accredited CPD and resources that secure compliance with key guidance and legislation.
Information on whole-school, evidence-based approaches such as the Senior Mental Health Lead Training; Mental Health Support Teams and the new TALK website.
Bite-size briefings: Providing timely and relevant information and tips on topics such as Children's Mental Health Awareness Week; Supporting wellbeing during SATS and GCSE's.
Self-serve resources: Include practical and user-friendly tools that help schools to audit, plan, and deliver effective SEMH provision.

Social, Emotional Learning (SEL)

SEL can really make a difference in your school! The research clearly demonstrates how an education that promotes SEL supports positive outcomes for children and young people (CYP) including a decrease in stress and anxiety, healthier relationships, and improved attainment.

For over 15 years, we have enabled 150 schools to implement the evidence-informed primary phase PATHS programme.

Our Locally delivered in-person CPD: Paths Revitalise will support all primary schools that have previously used PATHS:

Audit their whole-school SEMH provision, celebrating areas of strength and identifying areas for development, as well as auditing and evidencing impact of current provision.
Integrate relevant PATHS curriculum content to build a needs led RSHE curriculum that is compliant with the new guidance.
Contextualise the PATHS resources to meet the identified needs of their current school community.
Build on the evidence-based principles of the PATHS programme with additional resources to develop a graduated offer of SEMH, meeting the universal, targeted and bespoke needs of the school community.
Lead a whole-staff CPD session to secure consistent strategies.
Develop an achievable and impactful whole-school approach action plan.
