Navigating Change: Effective PAN Reduction

FAO: Senior Leadership Team, Governors , 1 November 2024 10:14
Information

We recognise that all schools - academies and LA-maintained - will be affected by a declining pupil population, and it's essential to address this challenge together.

Reducing a school's Published Admission Number (PAN) can be complex, but a proactive approach equips schools to navigate these changes effectively.

Our online briefing sessions offer school leaders and governors valuable insights into the benefits, challenges, and practical strategies involved in PAN reduction. With both national and Norfolk-specific contexts, these sessions will provide practical ideas to consider for your own settings.

By the end of the sessions, attendees will:

  • Understand the impact: Gain insights into how a declining pupil population affects schools and the specific implications of reducing a Published Admission Number (PAN)
  • Explore strategic approaches: Learn about practical strategies and best practices to proactively manage PAN reduction
  • Develop actionable plans: Identify key considerations and take away actionable ideas to implement within your school setting to support informed decision-making

The sessions are being delivered three times online via Teams. They are free to attend.

  • Session 1: Thursday 21 November 2024,  12:00-14:00
  • Session 2: Thursday 21 November 2024, 14:30-16:30
  • Session 3: Tuesday 26 November 2024, 17:00-19:00
