As you will know, bullying can have devastating effects on children and young people, often leaving them feeling isolated and unheard. It's crucial to address this silent suffering and ensure that every child and young person has a voice, regardless of their linguistic and cultural background.

Joining INTRAN provides your school with high-quality services:

  • Telephone Interpreting (Foreign Language)
  • Video Interpreting (Foreign Language and British Sign Language)
  • In-person British Sign Language Interpreting
  • In-person Foreign Language Interpreting
  • Foreign Language Translations
  • Braille and other Communication Support Services

These services will help you engage with parents, carers and pupils whenever you need to, building understanding, preventing issues and creating a safe learning environment for all.

Best Practice Tip for Using Interpreters

Pre-Session Briefing

Always speak to the interpreter before the session begins to manage expectations and mitigate risks of miscommunication. This is particularly important in sensitive contexts, such as child protection conferences.

Expert Interpreters for Sensitive Situations

INTRAN interpreters are highly trained and experienced at working in safeguarding contexts, handling sensitive topics with care and confidentiality, ensuring that every voice is heard, and every concern is addressed.

By using INTRAN interpreters, you will be able to spot issues of concern and focus on what matters to protect children and young people from harm.
