Important update on payroll contact details

Information

We inform you of a change to the telephone number you need to use if you have any payroll queries. From November 2024, you will no longer contact Education HR for payroll matters. 

Your new process will be to contact Payroll directly on 01603 223 450, or alternatively via schoolspayroll@norfolk.gov.uk 

When you call this number, you will be given two options to choose from: 

  • Option 1: Employee of a Norfolk County Council School 
  • Any staff member working at one of our Local Authority Maintained or Voluntary Aided Schools 
  • Option 2: Employee of a Traded Customer 
  • Any staff member working at an Academy or External Organisation 

Please select the appropriate option, you will then be connected to a payroll adviser who can assist you with your query. 

Some of the typical payroll queries you can ask are: 

  • Understanding your Payslip 
  • Payments and Deductions 
  • Tax codes enquiries (for confirmation, changes will need to be via HMRC) 
  • Maternity, Adoption and Parental leave pay 
  • Sick pay 
  • Claims and Expenses 

Please note you will still need to contact EducationHR via 01603 307760 or EHRenquiries@norfolk.gov.uk for general queries relating to: 

  • Employment contracts, clauses and terms 
  • Annual/monthly salaries and contractual allowances 
  • Working hours and weeks 
  • Changes in personal details 
  • Employment policies and procedures 
  • Employee relations issues 

We are are pleased to announce that we have established a new dedicated email address for your employees should they encounter any difficulties accessing the myOracle system. This is part of our ongoing commitment to enhance your experience, providing timely assistance and a direct contact. 

Effective immediately, please direct any access-related enquiries to our support team at: IHRIS.support@norfolk.gov.uk and not to your HR or Payroll advisers. 

This initiative is being carried out in conjunction with the self-service enhancements we are rolling out and supporting.  These enhancements are designed to provide more efficient and user-friendly solutions, ensuring your team has the best tools at their disposal. 

We kindly request that you distribute this information to all relevant staff to ensure they have the resources they need.  We hope that this change will improve your experience and satisfaction with our payroll service.
