12. Letters to Unsuccessful Candidates
You will need to send a letter to candidates who are unsuccessful at interview unless you have arranged to give them feedback over the telephone.
A letter could be set out using the following format:

<Applicants's name and address>
Dear <Applicant's name>
<Main body of letter> (Remember to thank the applicant for attending the interview and inform them that they have not been successful. Give them an opportunity to obtain feedback either by telephone or in writing; you will need to refer to your interview notes for accurate feedback. Thank them for their interest and wish them luck in their future career).
