Angles Maths Hub: Applications Now Open: Secondary Mathematics Non-specialist Teachers Programme

Angles Maths Hub is offering fully funded opportunities to exceptional maths teachers to work as part of our local leaders community supporting the improvement of maths education within your school and beyond.
What will you learn?
This is a free programme designed to develop subject knowledge, pedagogical understanding and improve participants' confidence.
Staff will:
- Improve subject and curriculum knowledge of Secondary Mathematics with an emphasis on Mathematical structures in key areas.
- Explore and develop pedagogic approaches consistent with Teaching for Mastery.
- Increase confidence in planning for progression in Mathematics.
What is involved?
This programme has 18 core components exploring each of the NCETM KS3 core concepts and is designed to be the equivalent of six days in total across the year. This year the programme consisted of 6 face-to-face afternoon sessions as well as 6 online twilights and will follow a similar format next year.
Who can take part?
The Secondary Non-Specialist Programme is designed for teachers who have not undertaken Initial Teacher Training (ITT) in Mathematics and will be teaching some Mathematics within their timetable during the next academic year.
