Electively home educated children
Most children will join a school roll but some families may choose to educate at home and continue with online learning arranged by the school in Ukraine where the children remain on roll. Where families choose this option, they will need to complete a Ukraine Elective Home Education (EHE) form, available in English and Ukrainian on the Norfolk County Council website and submit this to ehe@norfolk.gov.uk.
Families who choose this option are taking on the full responsibility of ensuring that a full-time education is being provided. EHE Services to Home Educators Team do not provide the education.
Each term, as an EHE family with a child from Ukraine, the family will be contacted by a dedicated EHE Officer who will work with them to ensure that the education being provided is suitable, and that it is working well. In cases where this is not the case, a referral to school will be made through the EHE team's Attendance team.
