Norfolk Plant Heritage £500 Young Gardeners' Award

The Norfolk Plant Heritage Group established the Jan Paulger Young Gardeners' Award which provides a sum of £500 to assist with a primary school gardening project.

Funded Cycle Training available for primary and secondary schools.

Norfolk County Council has secured funding from The Bikeability Trust via Active Travel England to offer Norfolk children in education with funded cycling opportunities. We also have funded courses to support students with the knowledge to fix their bicycles.

Exceptional Practice Visits - an opportunity to visit other settings.

This half-term, some of Norfolk's outstanding primary and secondary schools will be opening their doors and inviting colleagues to visit them as part of a programme of exceptional practice visits.

Restorative approaches in schools focus on improving relationships, reducing exclusions, and equipping staff to manage difficult situations. By prioritizing positive connections and addressing underlying behavioural causes, such as trauma or social-emotional needs, restorative practices create a more inclusive and supportive school environment where all students can thrive.

New Horizons- Meeting the KS2 Challenge in Norfolk Conference 16 July 2024

Over the past year, primary phase schools in the Norwich have benefited from the opportunity to take part in two innovative writing projects aimed at KS1 and KS2 as part of the DfE's Priority Area initiative.
