Discussing the riots and ensuring a safe environment for all students

Many children and young people, as well as those working in education settings, will have been impacted in different ways by recent riots and violent disorder across the country. The DfE has published a new blog on Educate Against Hate to support those working in education to hold difficult discussions with learners about extremism, teach students about online safety and mis- and disinformation and access protective security guidance for education settings. There is also a frequently asked questions page covering a wide range of other support available.
