Information

Creating an environment that promotes positive behaviour supports children and staff to feel welcome, safe and supported. That is why we are offering Norfolk Steps fully-funded for academic year 24/25 and have added new content to effectively help prevent behaviours that challenge as well as making Norfolk Steps more accessible

The new content includes self-serve resources covering topics such as trauma-informed practice, de-escalation strategies and post-incident support, as well as practical resources including classroom checklists etc. You can access these resources at any time and at your own pace to complement the face-to-face training.

Each school can have up to 2 Steps Lead Professionals. (Please note if you are wanting to access Step Up you will need a minimum of 2 staff trained in Step Up).

If you have a currently trained Steps Lead Professional/s that simply need to refresh their training, you can book this here. If you have a member of staff that is training as a Steps Lead Professional for the first time, you can book this here.

Courses are available throughout the school year so you can select dates most convenient for you with plenty of opportunity to arrange staff cover.  Once you have booked your training sessions, you will be able to access the e-learning content.

As part of the new programme, School and Community Teams will be enhancing the Steps programme supporting your work with families, securing consistency of strategies with children and young people for maximum impact.

If your school has refugee children or young people, Norfolk Steps can be accessed as part of a wider fully funded programme of support, thatincludes staff cover costs.  Find out more and sign up to this here.

  • Primary Schools - Norfolk Step On and Up package has been added to S4S and two Lead Professional places are available to book now at no charge!
  • Secondary Schools - Step On package has been added to S4S and two Lead Professional places are available to book now at no charge!
