NFF Indicative Technical Paper for 2025-26

Due to the timing of the election of the new government and subsequent delays to funding information for schools during 2024 by the DfE, the local authority received provisional DSG allocations for 2025-26 later than usual and was unable to release technical papers showing indicative budgets for mainstream schools' 2025-26 funding at the time of the autumn 2024 DSG consultation.

With final DSG allocations for 2025-26 having now been published by the DfE, the local authority will be releasing a technical paper on 31 January 2025 which will show the draft funding formula allocations for mainstream schools for 2025-26, subject to verification of the LA's local formula submission to the DfE. 

This will provide mainstream schools with indicative budget information, for the funding formula only, that was not previously provided to schools within the usual timescales as part of the autumn consultation.  Additional information for grants, e.g. Pupil Premium, forming part of schools' budget shares will be available when final budget shares are published for all schools by the end of February. 

Please note: The budget information that will be released on 31 January 2025 has not currently been approved by the DfE and is subject to change following their verification of the local authority funding formula. 

Final budget shares and related documents will be released in line with the LA's normal timetable, by 28 February 2025.
