On 28 November, from 4-4:40pm, Bright Torches founder and lead practitioner, Tom Davey will share information online about the project's work.

Bright Torches' work, inspired by their background as theatre practitioners, supports the academic, social and emotional development of young people and provides teachers with activities for immediate use in the classroom that develop spoken literacy and written responses.

The evening will also be a change to express interest in Bright Torches projects taking place in Norfolk in 2024-25 most notably their ground-breaking Merry Wanderers KS2-3 Transition Project, based on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Bright Torches aim to ignite a love of stories, spark personal responses and develop critical thinking.

Bright Torches regularly runs CPD for the English & Media Centre and supports English PGCE programmes across the UK including the UEA and The University of Oxford.

'It was fantastic to see you at work - the way that you captivated the children's attention and supported them to think more deeply about the power of words, of speech and of action was wonderful to behold.  Thank you very much indeed.'

Nicholas Gilding, Headteacher, Cotford St Luke Primary School, Somerset, UK
