Critical Incident Updates - Red Book Information 2024-2025

The new Red Book 2024 - 2025, "Critical Incident and Trauma Management in schools, academies and other settings" is now downloadable from 'My School' (login required). It will be accessible to all LA schools, as well as to academies and independent schools that have bought into the Critical Incident Service and who will have received their copy via email.

Keeping your School Information on the "Get Information about Schools (GIAS)" website up to date

Over the six week break many schools may have made changes to their establishment details or governance arrangements. It is vital that all education settings keep their Get Information About Schools (GIAS) record up to date. Even if you feel there are no changes necessary, it is always a good idea to check your page to ensure that your school information is correct and up to date.

The Ogden Trust- Applications for new partnerships open

The School Partnerships programme provides funding for schools over a period of five years. Partnerships must include secondary provision and a minimum of six schools in total.

Wraparound Training Opportunities

Fully funded training for Playworkers in Wraparound Provision - 'Playworkers - Prepare to Play' will explore playwork theory, play environments, engagements and interventions, as well as creating an action plan for change. Also, two courses on nutrition - 'Building Healthy Bodies and Engaged Brains' and 'Supporting Food Allergies and Intolerances' - essential training to build knowledge on fuelling children to achieve their best and getting creative with healthy swaps for those with allergies and intolerances.

The Henry Smith Charity Holiday Grants

The purpose of the Holiday Grants programme is to provide access to recreational trips or holidays for groups of children who experience disadvantage or who have disabilities. In particular they are interested in contributing to trips that would not take place without the Henry Smith Charity Holiday Grants funding.
