Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education (RSHE) toolkit

Videos, activities, action plans, other information and links to more resources to help you meet the needs of individual CYP through targeted and whole-school support.

Taught effectively, RSHE can equip pupils with essential knowledge, values, and the interpersonal skills to be safe, healthy (physically and emotionally) and positioned to manage their academic, personal, and social lives in a positive way. It can support attendance, attainment, and whole-school improvement. Whether your school has an embedded RSHE programme and you are seeking reassurance this is compliant with the RSHE guidance, or your school wants to develop a completely new curriculum to raise standards, this RSHE whole-school approach toolkit is for you!

The toolkit has 12 modules. There is an introductory module, one linked to each area of the whole-school approach and an additional module that focuses on special educational needs and disabilities.

The modules are developmental and have been designed to be completed sequentially. If you prefer, they can be completed independently according to your identified priority areas for development. The modules draw upon evidence-based approaches and signpost to quality assured resources.

Each module contains:

  • A CPD video
  • An activity to support the development of your provision
  • Resources; created especially for Norfolk schools
  • References; links to guidance, resources, organisations etc.
  • Further learning; links to podcasts, blogs, research etc.

Please visit Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education for up-to-date information about RSHE training and events.
