The Education Finance team has published this month's Finance Focus Newsletter. As this is the first edition of the new academic year, this is a bumper edition with a number of important articles and information.

Payments for Pupil Premium Plus for Previously Looked After Children for the financial year 2025 to 2026 will be paid based on children recorded in the October 2024 school census for mainstream and special schools. Please ensure you have communicated this information to all families as they will need to declare their child's previously looked after status to school for inclusion.

The revised guidance the Department for Education (DfE) published for is information only at this stage so that schools and colleges can plan for the commencement of the guidance on 1 September 2024.
