Autism Education Trust - Making Sense of Autism - New date for Autumn Term

Restorative approaches in schools focus on improving relationships, reducing exclusions, and equipping staff to manage difficult situations. By prioritizing positive connections and addressing underlying behavioural causes, such as trauma or social-emotional needs, restorative practices create a more inclusive and supportive school environment where all students can thrive.

Over the past year, primary phase schools in the Norwich have benefited from the opportunity to take part in two innovative writing projects aimed at KS1 and KS2 as part of the DfE's Priority Area initiative. Now all primary schools across Norfolk are invited to share in the key learning from the projects and attend this fully funded sector-led event.

The revised guidance the Department for Education (DfE) published for is information only at this stage so that schools and colleges can plan for the commencement of the guidance on 1 September 2024.

Norfolk Virtual School seeks the views of children in care, children previously in care and children with a social worker at our free summer participation events at Norfolk Snowsports Club.

As part of the Norfolk Learning Ambition, we are exploring how, across the education system in Norfolk, we use data insights and intelligence. We would like to establish a user group or network for those in our schools and settings who have strategic oversight of, or use, data as an evidence base towards helping our young people to Flourish.

Could we ask that the survey is shared with people who have benefitted from the Household Support Fund. Please could this be added to your school website or newsletter.

For the remainder of the summer term the Attendance Duty Line open hours will be limited to 9am to 12pm. This is a temporary measure to support the team with unforeseen capacity limitations. Phone calls will only be taken during the open hours but the facility to email the team at csattendance@norfolk.gov.uk will still be available.
